Well . . . a gaggle of 12 beach urchins (most of whom had never done Shakespeare in their life and a few who had never ACTED before) dove into what was intended to be a simple summer romp. Well . . . a gaggle of 12 beach urchins (most of whom had never done Shakespeare in their life and a few who had never ACTED before) dove into what was intended to be a simple summer romp. The endeavor was somehow transported into an exuberant beach bash in honor of the bard and exemplifying the spirit of the Rockaway community. Playing to audiences of 300+ a night, our first production, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, was a thundering success. Hundreds of people experienced Shakespeare, under the stars, a few hundred feet from the Atlantic, in flip-flops - FOR FREE! We’re humbled, grateful, awed, and inspired.
